Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance Qualificaations:

The Trainee IQA must be in a position to support at least 2 assessors who are able to assess at least 2 learners through substantial but realistic components of a qualification or in-house standard. The trainee IQA will need to provide evidence of working within a robust IQA system that include sample planning basede on the principles of CAMERA - candidates, assessors, methods of assessment, evidence or elements, records and assessments sites

Level 3 Assessor Qualifications:

To complete these awards trainee assessors must assess 2 real learners/candidates on 2 occasions in a real work environment on a substantial piece of work. The assessments must include all stages - planning, carrying out the assessment using the required assessment methods, giving feedback following the assessment and updating records.

 

 

 

For all of the above learners also have to achieve a Principles and Practices Unit to gain a full qualification. This knowledge unit is assessed alongside the above units and much of the evidence generated in the practical units can be cross-referenced across to this unit

 

Note: This unit can also be taken as a stand-alone unit for those who need background knowledge but who do not actively assess or quality assure in their job role and can be achieved via a project or assignment. It is a good lead in to Assessment or Quality Assurance
