These awards replaced the A&V Awards in 2011 and are aimed at people who:
•Continue to quality assure qualifications that have NVQ in the title
•Others who quality assure qualifications within the QCF that do not use the term ‘NVQ’ in their title but whose purpose is ‘To confirm competence’
•For those who quality assure non-accredited learning/skills that confirm competence
The Qualifications are as follows:
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Processes and Practice – appropriate for those who quality assure assessment practice by means of checking product evidence, observing assessments and interviewing candidates. Evidence for this unit must come from the IQA monitoring and quality assuring the work of 2 assessors, each with a minimum of 2 candidates of their own through components of a qualification
Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice – aimed at those who take the lead role in a quality assurance team and who allocate and monitor the work of others and who may also be the main contact with outside agencies. Evidence for this Award comprises the fully completed Level 4 Award units plus additional evidence showing work plans for own job role, planning and allocating work for others, target setting, appraisals and updating targets
